How fast do your run while towing?

I have a 18ft jayco ultralite POS that I tow with my superduty powerstroke.
Its only got 13" tire on it (i can't fit bigger ones) and I constantly run 70-75 mph with it easy. I have been at times runnning in the 80+ range

How fast do you guys go and whats your rig? (trailer-truck combo) and whats your mpg's?

Also if you tow with a RV and have the utility trailer, i would like to know how fast you run with that.

Here in Kalistein, we are only allowed to do 55 while towing. I'll do 62 to 65 without too much hassle though. With those 13's, you'd better keep your wheel bearings greased, at the speed you're running, you could cook them real fast. :prof:

No more than 65mph. We have a trailer truck with a total lenght of 45' and get around 10 MPGs I think

I have a small Kendon trailer and I tow it at 63 to 65 but never faster. The law where I live is 55 and we have CHP's on the road with their radar or laser guns all the time. It is not worth a ticket to get somewhere 10 minutes sooner. :naughty:

in my isuzu I do 65
when i went to get my isuzu I borrowed my dads pstroke, I had it up to 90 because some ass hole trucker decided he was going to gun it as I passed him. (it had been an ongoing thing for about 30 miles)

I pretty much keep it at 65 max with either the boat or the toy hauler. I tow with a 2500HD GMC 4x4 6.6 diesel and get around 12 - 14 MPG with the 5th hooked up.

I am in the 65 Max range also. If I am following rack, I am good to see 55 on the downhills

As for me..with my set up Chevy 2500 HD 4x4 gasser I pull my 29' TH flat I'm at 60-65...been known to get up around 70 but not for very long. Coming down the Cajon Pass (southbound)...now THAT's another story...if you're in the truck lane you're doing 45...you'd better be on the gas in any other lane! :shocked:

Pulling a 29' Camper with my 99 7.3L F250. I don't go over 65 but stay at 60mph mostly. I also run with OD off so it makes for High rev of 2300 RPM's if I go over 65mph. I don't know what MPG. I have never towed it long enough to check. Now pulling my small 8' utility trailor, I don't turn off OD I go 65 70 with the the 12' tires. I have had it for years. I guess I need to grease the wheel bearings. :thinking:

To add to Mih's question..who uses Overdrive when pulling? I hear it is a big :naughty:

Our RAM1500 Big Horn has tow haul. Saves gas and doesn't mess up your tranny

I have an older 90's model 5th wheel and its pretty heavy about 6890 empty, about 7500 or more loaded and ready to camp. But I only pull it as fast as traffic allows 0r 65 mph ,unless im in Calif. where the towing speed is only 55 mph. I also only use the tow haul option while pulling, which is sorta like running a modified over drive off.

I have a Tow/haul button that allows for engine breaking.... I use it on the backroads but on the hwy I don't unless its really hilly and twisty. I believe the older trucks w/ the 4spd its a no no.
