Well, let's do a bit of math.  I replaced my piston 13 months ago and have 95 hours on it.  That is the first time I have replaced the piston in my WR450.  That would be my 2007 WR450.  Granted, I was off the bike for 12 months after my dislocated shoulder and rotator cuff surgery.  I wish I would have had an hour meter on the bike like I have now.  It would have been interesting to get the actual hours of that piston.


I guess with the math we could take an average of say 90 hours per year.  07 to 12 is 5 years, let's see, 5 x 90, carry the...shit, where is my 15yo son when I need him:smirk:  Ok, rough estimate is 450 hours.  And I would say that might be on the low side.  I did 3 rides that were 220 miles one way. 29Palms to Lake Havasu and then back.  440 mile weekends.
