Okay, first let me get this off my chest- Sunday I took the ol' WR to the track like I been doing and had the best friggin day of my life! It was awesome. Temp was cool, track conditions were the best I've seen, bike runs well, and best of all, I killed it! Killed it for me that is :thumb:. I rode the best I ever have, spent a lot of time in and out of ruts, increased my corner entry (and exit) speeds, didn't get arm pump, didn't crash. I learned a shit-ton and feel like I've reached a new plateau. Now on to new questions- 1 - what is a preferred handlebar angle? Right now they are forward of the fork angle. Dude at the track said I should pull it back further... 2 - this bike has a big gap in the exhaust pipes and its backfiring badly on decel. The gap is probably all of 3/16". See below. Whoever had it before me had something in there but it was chintzy anyway and it went away when I did the water pump. I was thinking of buying a tool if available to expand it, or bringing it to a muffler shop and have them expand it. Anybody got a better idea?
