Set up a fan and set it on high in front I the bike, start the bike without the choke, if it does not start without you pulling the choke out, time to adjust the valve clearance. The glowing red should not happen if you have airflow to it but if you sit there and idle for too long it is going to glow. If still have issues rebuild the carb, if no luck with that consult Yamaha on the issue.
