yep, you just do what works for you. not everyone has the same set of skills so what is handy for one is difficult for another. for me on anything from about 3/16 to 1 inch if i heat the parent material before i start drilling with the reverse bit, it just has a tendency to back out easier. so you never get to the easy outs and helicoils.
