My Beta has the separate engine and transmission oil. The longest I've gone was about 18 hours before a change. The engine side oil is just barely dirty and I'm sure that it was still fine. The transmission side not so much due to the goat trails I like and the resulting extensive clutch use. I'm sure that oil was good as well. It just had ground up or smoked clutch bits floating in it. On my $10k bike I can do a lot of $25 oil changes. My old XR600 that I put 50k miles on didn't get that kind of service.
