Opened my cable bill yesterday to see a $20 increase. Last couple of times that has happened, I called and said I would cancel before paying the increase and they backed down, not this time. They said they would knock off $10 of the increase. $80 a month, crap.I would pay that much IF there was good stuff to watch, but other than the Speed channel and Fuel tv, most of the other programming sucks. I have been toying with the idea of cancelling for a while, the price increase was the final straw.So I told Directv to cancel my subscription. Ordered a TV antenna (remember those?) off of Amazon, will be bolting it on the pole where the dish is located. Tech guru guy at work has been showing me all the programs and movies available for free on the web (there is lots), and is going to get me the cable needed to hook my computer up to the TV.Feels weird, kinda like quitting cigarettes.Anyone else kick the cable addiction?
