So, are you saying if some badass wanted to climb Mt. Everest and wanted you to go as a newb, you would feel the same way or would you feel that your riding experience would take you to all corners of the earth to deal with any potential adventures or mishaps? I personally would never want to go on a ride that "holds anybody up" because of my ability or lack thereof. I had an experience with a couple of dickheads and a flat tire issue in the desert where I needed help a couple of years ago. Their attitude reminded me of yours. (Some of you may remember that thread). That said, I know my limitations even though though I like to push the envelope once in a while.</p><p> </p><p>I think that you are missing the boat here Dave Wood. Riding is not only riding, it is riding, camping, enjoying each others company, conversing and making new lifelong friends that would do anything for you in a moment's notice. Some already have for me. My kids are just about gone, so that is not an issue for me, but making compromises for "family rides" is never a problem, just like going on "big boy" rides aren't either. There is a time and place for everything in life.</p><p> </p><p>We, as you probably have already noticed, do a big DBA TDAY get together. That started from TT but has translated nicely to here. I look forward to riding, camping and meeting new peeps every year on this trip. Rethink your position here. Dirtbike riding is far more than just going balls to the wall.
