Yes!! hydrated before during and after. bring more water than you think you need. as you will use it. keep hydrated. I have been up there a few times when others had ran out out water. it's not good. a few times, I was able to provide water to those that need it. as I carry a full water bladder, plus 6 bottles. One time a buddy ran out half way through our ride. I was able to give him a bottle. however, that wasn't enough. he ran out again and got in bad shape. he was cramping, throwing up, real bad shape. Also, East Frazier is fun. if you go without stopping and keep momentum, it takes less than 10 minutes to reach the bench. what gets some is if they stop frequently. Going to slow and stopping takes alot out of you. I have swept that trail where it has taken an hour for those to climb. and those times, I was huffin and puffin with a workout. Piru creek is a fun trail. we show the technical parts on video, but by most, it's just a trail. with a few ooooo look at that sections.. a couple of water crossings, rock hazards, sand, grass tunnels, and such. a must hit trail going up lockwood switchbacks are fun. it could be from easy to difficult, depending on the line and conditions. if it's dry and hot, it could be a bugger if you don't keep the momentum up. if slightly wet, its easy. Arrastra is a nice trail with dropoffs, a couple technical switchbacks, loose shale rock, and an off camber section. going down is easier, but up is funner. Whatta is a flowing trail with a little switchback and good grade rutted downhill (or uphill) section in the middle. it's fun and flowing. Yellowjacket starts out as a whooped out, jeep trail, turning into a single track with fallen trees. it's pretty back there. Long Dave is a fun flowing trail with a couple fallen trees, a creek crossing, a little rock, and fun. Goldhill connects goldhill road and tejon longdave connection. it's a flowing trail with a few cliffside sections. Tejon is the main trail where it would be the crowdest one of all. it has from cliff sides, to tree reach arounds to rock gardens, whoops and studder bumps. a fun flowing trail. west frazier is a fire road that has a couple of loose sections with a root or two to navigate around. The top of frazier is a grated fireroad that flows through a forest, the ewoc forest, lol Matau , aka grade valley is a graded road connecting yellow jacket to half moon. Lowe Piru, only been up a small section, is sandy, rocky, and you lose signs of the trail from now and then. Miller jeep, never been, but looks friggen cool. Haven't been on snowy, was gonna do it last year, but injured my knee. it's the toughest one of all, where getting out of the creek mid way is technical both ways,. many have burn't their clutches. I would love to get out there and give a tour of the place, but I'm out of commission right now. waiting for my knee surgery. hopefully i will be healed up by the end of summer.
