I arrived on Monday. On the drive down, there were a couple of times when I thought I saw timoyz's and Rolls' motorhome but when I got closer it wasn't them. It was about 1300 and they were supposed to be out there before noon anyway so it couldn't possibly be them. Though I told TWS I would be there 0900
. I missed the turnoff for the casino/gas station just like last time and ended up at the gas station a few miles down the road. I pulled up to see timoyz toping off his tank. Slacker
. They headed out while I grabbed a bite. I met up with them again just as they were pulling off the 78 onto Cahuilla.
We set up shop. I was itching to ride so I suited up and played in the hills near camp. I snapped a pick and noticed the battery was low so I was pretty stingy with the photos from then on.

TWS and I went off for a quick trip to the pumpkin patch. It was nice with hardly anyone out and about.
Didn't fire off another until the next day on our arrival at the Blue Inn for breakfast. Timoyz patched up his crash job covering up the dba sticker in the process
.

We made it to the bridge in good time but not after some hesitation to take the wash due to the mud. I guess they didn't want to get their bikes too dirty too soon
. We were greeted by a nice welcome message and some nice views of the mountains against a clear blue sky.

We took a short break and admired the art work.

The bullet holes are a nice touch.

Getting ready for the next leg hoping that if we come upon some of the above that we find it before it finds us.

At the entrance to Painted Gorge.

This is the most spectacular spot in PG. Rolls was hanging out near the edge of the 200+ ft drop but I was too slow to get him there. You can just barely see him in the middle right. There are some nice views after but this area was neat. The battery died right after this shot
.

As always, it was a blast
and I wish I could have stayed longer.
