Kawasaki heavy industries makes TONS of stuff, including aerospace stuff, while KTM just makes bikes(and the random awesome car<img src="https://www.dirtbikeaddicts.com/static/images/smilies/tongue.gif" class="smilie" loading="lazy" alt=":P" title="Tongue :P" data-shortname=":P" />) so they just don't have as much money to throw at it.
