I don't like making repairs like that without being able to see the backside of my work and to smooth things up a bit. Could be dropping junk down inside the motor including the JB weld itself.Some believe in a thorough rinsing and you're good to go, I don't like drilling or tapping without something to catch the shavings.-BIG DAN
