My brother and I rode about 60 miles of spangler hills last saturday. About 200ft out of camp my brother pulls in the clutch and coasts to the truck. A terrible 'thunk' from his aircooled heart sent a chill down both of our spines... Pull out the kick lever and... she's solid... :picard: This bike has seen better days, but has treated us VERY well over the last 4-5 years. Time for a seat cover and some deep cleaning. Beautiful DG expansion chamber and matching muffler make this bike sounds so raw... Just a little bit dirty... The head got away unscathed... just signs of running a little rich. Aaaaaand that's a pile of piston crumbs... Crown helped chew the piston skirt into shiny aluminum dust. Missing the skirt there, buddy! Gotta split the cases no matter what. Pull the engine. Greasy ol' bitch. Pile o' Chit Cylinder got away free of any blemishes. She'll get a good measuring and probably a hone.(Skirt break mean piston-cylinder clearance is too great. Possibly could need a bore.) I love me some carnage! -BIG DAN:thumb:
