Yeah, I hated the hot chips. They would burn down deep into the flesh. And no matter how much you cleaned up at work, you still would find them at home. That’s why I gravitated to surface grinding. It was cleaner and I liked the closer tolerances.What a dumbass I was! The mills and lathes are all CNC nowadays and all the guys have to do is close the door and push the button. I’m still cranking handles.
