So the Windsor was used in Vans and the like while the Cleveland went into cars.

The Cleveland being the torquier motor and the Cleveland was quick to spool up. Ford trucks only ever got 360's and 390's up until the early 80's where they then switched to 302's, V6's and straight 6's (?). I thought they had a 400 stump puller available as well.... Anyone know?



PS. I had a 26 Sportfisher with 351 Cleveland in it and a mercruiser out drive. Fricken thing topped out at 3400 rpm and just tractored through it all... effin scary when you PLOUGH through 20 foot swells.... I would have been happy if she could hit 4200 and rode up the swells a bit before breaking waves.... nope, straight through :shocked::picard:
