Message: <blockquote data-quote="2strokesteve89" data-source="post: 207943" data-attributes="member: 1670"><p>Those 4.0L's have wrist pin noise from using Teflon coating on the pins, it helps with lubrication on cold starts before the oil has a chance to circulate.......until it wears off as you would expect Teflon to do, and when the missing Teflon is replaced with excessive clearance you are left with the knock, however I can't say I've ever see one let go so you can probably relax there. As far as the no crank problem I'm betting if you check the neutral safety switch, you'll find its probably no good, they can be kind of spendy for a new switch but It's a common problem on those year cherokee's.</p></blockquote><p></p>
