8/17 & 18/10 Kennedy Meadow

You guys must have had the ranger teflon going this weekend.

KM is in general not beginner friendly. Kids riding around camp usually is good for a strong warning if not a ticket. Same for riding on the roads, except for the very few where it's allowed, like the road from the camp to the start of the Mahogany creek trail.

The other beginner friendly ride is to trailer the bikes up to the start of the Monanche jeep trail and ride to the meadow.

Ranger teflon and Stealth mode...if they're that stiff on it up there. :thumb:

Beginners luck maybe :noidea:.

we usually keept it slow on the roads. as for the kid riding around camp...thats pretty lame if they are THAT anal about it... hes not kicking u0p dust or doing anything to bother anyone. I think we did get lucky tho. It does suck that you even have to worry about rangers messing with you tho :/

Unless you already gave him a list of rules when riding. One that was instilled into our heads which we've passed down to our kids when they were small was. If you're riding by yourself and you can't see the flags you're too far away. Works great with little one's just learning. :thumb:

Great report! Those vids make me want to be there! Yet another place I NEED to ride and havent yet. But I know the trail names, I can describe the terrain to you, and I can tell you about the drive up there and what size tranny you better have towing up there LOL Yet I've never been! To think I've traveled to 4 states yet have NEVER rode KM is surprising. Especially after seeing reports like this:thumb: I can NOT let another year go by without a trip up there! That is it! This report made it final!

BTW...Your kids are adorable!!!

Also....I've had two Silverado trucks. I had the early 90s model in white that peeled paint as well:smirk: I miss that model though, the seats would recline all the way back and I could stuff the seat belts down and make a nice double bed to sleep on. I miss that split bench seat for that reason. My newer (2002) the seats dont reline all the way back, dumb!

The roost thing is annoying! Of course I want to roost for this report, and of course I cant. Therefore I feel I need to state "I'll roost when I can" but will I remember to go back to all the threads I couldnt roost earlier?

Probably not. Please dont take it personal if I overlook some roosting. It is hard to keep track of, and not really something Im "into" in fact, how do I get to that roost page anyways? LOL I did see it once a while back and now forgot how I got to it, silly me! As if it should matter.

no problem sun... thanks for posting :thumb: and that truck was my very first vehicle. its on its way out or needs some loving... i think im gonna trade her in for something new soon.
