I had a bottle of Horchata Imperial Stout last night. I saw it at the store and was curious so I had to try it. It actually sounded horrible and I didn't expect to even finish it. WOW! That was some of the best beer I've had. It poured pretty thick and was sticky on the lips but was silky smooth on the tongue. Tasted of chocolate ,roasted coffee with a touch of a spicy, cinnamon flavor. Not very hoppy, which is good for me.9% ABV. One 22 oz. bottle left me with a good buzz. I'm going back to the store for more. :cheers:

we really like the peanutbutter stout one. i was at bevmo and was picking out 3 22 ozers and really wanted to try it but was weary. i like horchata but not sure. I like hoppy beers tho so our tastes differ a lot i think. i wanna try it now. besides its a local beer :) I love how San Diego is the micro beer capital right now :)

its good. my wife dont like beer that is too hoppy but liked this.

which also was a great beer. IPA is my fav beer right now and this was good but dont think id go for it again... not that it was bad its jsut there is so many other really good ones like Lagunitas Hopps Stoopid or even the regular IPA they make is really good.

I like the peanut butter also. I just like the horchata better. I stay away from the IPAs, so, yeah. our tastes do differ. It's definitely worth a try though.
I agree San Diego the king of SoCal, but there's a lot of breweries in NorCal. My favorite is Anderson Valley Brewery. Everything I've tried from them is good. Especially the Summer Solstice. I can't get enough of it. It's like drinking creme soda. :drool:

Bummer.......looks local, doesnt appear that I can buy that here
