Break The Silence. Post your commets.

When you do ride one I can almost bet you will want to buy or build your own. Haven't you ever saw or read it in the mags. About what it cost to upgrade your 450. your looking at 2500 - 3500 bucks in just the motor. That's just the motor. Add the cost of the 450 and suspension and accessories starting to look like it is more than a 500af purchase.

I wouldn't worry about building the motor on a 450. Stock it is way faster than I am capable of riding it.

No, I haven't thought about comparing them. For me, the bike isn't practical. It can't be dual sported, it doesn't have an electric start. You've seen the type of riding I prefer to do. I fall over a lot. A bike flooding out then being hard to start is one thing. Having to kick it while on a side hill in a rocky mess just compounds the struggle.

One has to prioritize the requirements before making a purchase decision.:thumb:
I can respect that. But, do not say it is impossible to ride the 500cc two stroke in the type of riding you do... Can you, Yes you can do you want to no you do not. So why are you telling me that the 500cc two stroke sucks? When I am showing you videos of it riding trails you like to ride.

Um, when you start throwing numbers around it should be from personal experience. What was done for this. $2,500-$3,500 in upgrades? Cams are about $350. Piston about $125. Port about $100. Remember, recreational riders.

If I show you a video of a Nissan Pathfinder driving down the street, you gonna go buy one?

There you go that's the spirit. :salute:

F turd splatter

Hey quick question - Have you ever consider riding a 450f?

I'm not sure why you are asking turd smeller if he has ridden a 500 smoker when he clearly has said he owned one and posted pics of it. If he felt that was the bike for him, he would still own it and be riding it instead of his blue dart he is on today.

Oh that video of the 15yr old on the KX500? Too much bike for him as it showed in the video.

But that 15 year old left all those guys on 350's in the dust. Didn't you see him looking back early in the video. That just shows the raw horsepower and speed of the 500cc 2 stroke. Why do you have to hate, why couldn't you just like the video and say great job. If you haven't tried a 500cc 2 stroke recently you should because if you did you would buy one.
