Break The Silence. Post your commets.

I haven't broken the silence yet (it's a code thing) but, I broke wind yesterday - I'm not saying it was bad but, the local Hazmat Team showed up and said something like, "Clear the room, clear the room, everybody on the ground now!"
Anyone else notice how this thread is creap'n closer to a typical TT thread?

Talk about breaking the silence...:spin:

Now here is a bike I would like to throw a leg over....

I can not help but think that. When MXA ran the test ride in this bike. I bet someone from KTM seen it also. If there was ever a manufacture that would see this and get a bit currious. That would be KTM. They know how well the 300sx big bore kit for the 250sx sells. It would be awsome to see KTM draw up a sketch of a KTM 500sx two stroke. If they did I bet it would look and perform just like this bike did. Just maybe with a bit more low end kick.

Yah, why is it that every forum you are on does that?

Sorry, I understand you fell nostalgic over the 500's but let's be realistic. They are WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!more than 99% of the riders actually need on either trail or track. I have a RM250 that is WAY more than I can handle most of the time. Sure it would be a blast to ride 500cc 2stroke every once In awhile but for the mass it is a completed waste of power. No manufacture is going to start production on a 2stroke 500. Get over it!! Answer me this! What year was the last production 500cc bike made? Dude I don't mean to be a dick(likerack) but you have to let go.

Well actually they are still being procuced today. the Maico 500 stil is being produced. But, Kawasaki was the last of the big four to quit produceing the 500cc. That was in 2004.

KTM made the 300 just for this reason. You get open bike bark with 250 weight. It's the perfect 2 stroke.

KTM will not make or offer a 500 bike or kit as they sell out of 300s and I don't believe they will sell many 500s to make a profit.

Yah I hear that all the time. But everybody said the same thigs about the two stroke in general. But Then they seem to be selling more and more every year. Got to admit putting a 500cc two stroke in todays modern chassi's is addicting and verry popular. you see More and more being converted to a 500cc two stroke. Just for the record the 500cc af are also the weight of a 250 of a few years ago. Still much lighter than a four stroke.

Maico? Show me a showroom that sells them. I know a guy that had a Maico and had a bultaco but that don't mean squat. 99.9% of the public won't ever see one.

When Maico tried to make a come back years ago I was in talks with them about exposing the big 700 in the desert racing scene. We almost had an agreement but at the last minute they pulled out.
