GoPro Hero 3 coming soon?

I'm willing to bet that MotoSport, RMATV, Motorcycle Superstore, etc are among the top GoPro retailers, hence the reason that ALL of them had a sale awhile ago.

Dunno. They cut BTO off because they found out they were selling them overseas. They sell so many everyday at full retail they dont care if they have to cut people off. I will try and snoop around and see.

Well the rumors about the new GoPro Hero 3 being released soon might actually have some weight. According to sources the new GoPro Hero 3 is supposed to be available this month and will offer three versions.

White - $199 - "Cheap" camera that will be in chain stores
Silver - $299 - Motorsports edition which will include built-in WiFi among other new features
Black - $399 - Limited movie version

The new Hero 3 is also said to be slimmer and have up to 7 hours of battery life.

I just saw that they released a firmware update for the Hero 2 that allows you to increase the data rate from 15 mbps to 35 mbps.

I'm willing to bet that this is why their promo videos looked so good back in the day, they'd increased the settings just for themselves. :bonk:

I think it is releasing tonight. A buddy works at summit racing and they are staying open until midnight to release it
