I remember even when I was 15-16 I could go buy ammo for my rifle my shotgun and all kinds of stuff. But now it's 18 for rifle and even shotgun (bird shot for cryin out loud!). I don't understand, it makes no sense why you can buy the weapon but no ammo... F#&@ the system haha. What good is buying a perfectly good handgun at 18 when all you can do is stare at it for 3 years waiting to buy your own ammo.

Huh, yeah south dakota is 18 for the handgun and for concealed permit. But 21 for ammo. For all I know it might even have changed to 21 for a handgun here to since I bought mine, a lot has changed in the past year or two.

I could legally carry a handgun in public (LTC/CWP) when I was 18, however couldn't legally buy one until I was 21 (same with ammo). :bonk:

I bought mine when I was 18 and got my concealed carry the same day. I dont know, I just think its bull that ammo is 21... whatever soon it will be free if ya know what I mean.

Bar-Sto Precision Machine pistol barrel and holster with my Gen4 Glock G22 .40 Caliber pistol. I bought the holster today, and I got the barrel for a graduation present from the shop owner, Extended and Ported stainless steel glory... shoots like a dream. All wraped togerther in a hand crafted leather holster built to the specifications of my pistol... fits like a dream :thumb:.

Why not have Glock take over the world... they are fantastic firearms. I had a Sig Sauer that I really didnt like, and my next pistol for my collection will be a 1911 .45 (of course... everyone needs one of those). But the Glock 22 is amazing, great grip, excellent recoil control, accurate as... well i dont really have a similie for that one :smirk: , toughest damn pistol ive ever seen, and they actually look like a pistol I know that sounds wierd, but thay have no fancy looks and they just get the job done. But oh well, every handgun is to its own and people like what they want, thats why they make more than one....:thumb:

:smirk: I'm just pickin'. I never have liked Glocks. For little reasons, and unknown reasons. I will admit...not many pistols can beat a Glock. I'm a little old fashioned though. I want my pistols to be mostly metal, no particular reason. The thought of a Austrian plastic taking over my 'Merican metal just hurts me in the heart. :smirk: I dont like the looks or feel of a Glock either. It just looks funny to me.

I want a 1911 so hard! I've been looking at the Taurus PT1911 and the PT92 (Beretta clone). Cheap! Not American either...but neither was my AK47. Atleast she's metal though!

I here what you mean, but don't go for a Beretta clone, in fact don't even go for a Beretta at all haha... As my grandfather would say in all his words of wisdom "JUNK!" haha. But the Glock is nice, but i see what you are getting at and well Glock is the only German engineering i trust haha, and its not German really so i guess that's why... Alright now im just rambling... Blah blah blah im done.
