Update , replaced slide and spring , backed off idle screw , readjusted throttle cable . Started , adjusted idle mixture , and idle screw , runs perfect .. kill switch works also ....

My dad was a mechanic and a driver. He had an old Mack with a 2T diesel in it. It had a shit off valve and I also had a Perkins 2T diesel in a forklift that had the shutoff valve next to the seat. It was my understanding that it was common. Boy those suckers would scream and be loud as hell but almost no power
