Last season I was up there quite abit. it's fun, and not too crowded. Did you hit Piru? Arrastra? whata? and the rest?2 hour drive from the house. I never even been there and it was fun! Lots of Moto only trails and not many people out.

3 hour drive for me. Made it home by 9pm with a stop at the Tulare outlet mall to pick up some shoes for my wife.
Good DUSTY ride
Pics to follow.
Nope. We had 15. But it was the best 15 I have ever had the pleasure of riding with. I was the only one slowing all downbut it was terrific. If you were either a group of 3 on KTM's, or a group of 3 on Yammie smokers, then we saw you today.
NOBODY was out there, even in the park! And it was about 78 with a light breeze.
We had to help a fellow rider out who had become dehydrated and delirious. Lost, out of water, and running out of gas.
He got worse as we went along. Finally, half way down Tejon before the rock fields, we made the guy stop, he was so erratic.
Turns out he was wearing THERMAL UNDERWEAR, a Lycra jump suit, full armor suit, a t-shirt and a jersey. We got him out of half of his clothes, and within 20 minutes he was back to normal.
Thermal Underwear?
Lycra Jumpsuit?
and don't discount those fireroads... some have been known to take a shortcut.....

good watching out for the other riders Krannie. the guy was probably getting worried when YOU were undressing him. LOL. seriously, heat exhaustion is deadly. If you didn't come along, he could of been bear food. There has been a few times we have ran into those in trouble and we helped them get normalized and back to safety. hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. before, during and after. in addition to the water, I will carry a few pre game pouches if gaterade. drink one on the way up, one as we start, one mid route. and.. coffee and soda dehydrates you more. as far as the thermals. so many times some new guys in the group talk about how cool it feels when we start off and they consider dressing in warmer clothes. I don't, cause I know it's gonna get warmer as the day goes on. however, I do wear the protective gear, to include the somewhat warm evs jersey. but if moving, your ok. it's the stopping, and do overs that get you heated up. and if you run out of water.. your toast real quick. start crampin, dry mouth, and worse....If you were either a group of 3 on KTM's, or a group of 3 on Yammie smokers, then we saw you today.

15 riders. wow.. when you have that many, it gets dusty and a much slower pace. we had 17 once.Glad you all had fun! 15wow! dammit I wanted to be there I bet you all did about 45 miles. Im surprised a lot of you have never rode up there before. Im not surprised that there wernt a lot of people in the hot summer time. Even though it was in the 70s overall summer is more for the hard core riders if you ask me. Whatta I think is my favorite trail up there so far. I look foward to seeing all the pics. Man, 15 people is A LOT OF DUST! Dinner at Geeks is a treat. Did he BBQ for you? The guy knows how to cook!
At least I got outta 2nd gearGeek how did you ride off of the fire road
Even after i got home, I still didn't feel right. Had over 200 oz of water yesterday in about 8 hours and still was peeing dark yellow.good watching out for the other riders Krannie. the guy was probably getting worried when YOU were undressing him.
