So they’re a few miles north of where the flier says? Prospectors Camp would be closer to the action.Fauck. Just zeroed in on the coordinates, they are in Dirt Diggers Spangler. Now do I camp where I had planned, or move to Prospectors?

The coordinates were probably already there, I just saw them and looked them up. When it said Red Mountain DD Camp, they have set up at Trona before so I figured that would be it, then to see the ribbon last week, oh well change of plans. At least there will be some virgin trail since they're going to come out of Spangler. So they’re a few miles north of where the flier says? Prospectors Camp would be closer to the action.
that doesn't look as rotted as I'd imagine a 30 year old tire to beWow, looks like I switched out a 30 year old, brand new tire.

Prior to the year 2000 there was only 3 symbols used for identifying the week and year of a tire's fabrication.
The regulations controlling this only stipulated that the last number would show the digit of the year so that each decade the number could be repeated, eg. 1980 and 1990 would both use a zero.
At that time it was very rare for a tire to be in use for any period as long as 10 years and even if it were the type of tread design and other characteristics of the tire would make it pretty evident as to which decade a tire belonged.
Wikipedia claims that during the 1990s that a small triangle followed the last number to indicate that it was manufacturered in that decade, however, this is not in the DOT regulations and I have never seen it in use.
