I am off work all last week and at least the next few weeks. Dr. says at least 6 months before I can get back on the bike. Can't risk any further head trauma and will re-evaluate after 4 months to see if what was damaged has healed. In the mean time, looking for a new helmetOh damn!!!
You ok?
I've been texting back and forth with Pat. Both of us have it pretty badRack has him beat.

It sounds like you might be at the point that I was at a couple of years ago. Only, it sounds like you are having it harder than me. I started getting injured one time after another. I figured it was just a streak of bad luck. After I healed from each injury, I would just go back to riding the way I always had. After the last broken bone (leg) I finally realized that I can’t keep going on the same way that I always have. At some point I got old. My balance and reflexes aren’t what they used to be, and I definitely don’t bounce as good as I used to. I’ve backed off on the speed, and generally, just don’t push things like I used to. I still have fun but I just ride well within my limits.Well, that didn't last long....

Funny thing is I was taking it "easy". On the hillclimb I just did (and didn't make), I laid the bike over instead of trying to get the very last bit of the hillclimb. I am playing it "easy" instead of letting the bike go like my "Avatar" picture. I have asked and haven't got the answer as to which side I laid the bike over on. I don't remember if it was the left side or the right side. If it was the right side, I could have laid it over and clipped a rock knocking the rear brake piece from the rear brake lever. Because my friend said on the downhill of the not make is where I went cartwheeling into the rocks and clipped my head. I don't recall any of that.It sounds like you might be at the point that I was at a couple of years ago. Only, it sounds like you are having it harder than me. Now, I really don’t mean to call you
“old”(even though I think we’re about the same age) and you might be able to keep on at full speed for many more years. This is only something to think about. Whenever you’re ready to get back on the bike again, I hope you can stay on it for a long, long time.
Yeah, I thought I was taking it easy to. I guess it’s just a different mindset that I’ve adopted. Sometimes I still go for it, and sometimes I don’t. Things have to feel just right.Funny thing is I was taking it "easy". On the hillclimb I just did (and didn't make), I laid the bike over instead of trying to get the very last bit of the hillclimb. This is where I landed after not making this hill. Sketch artist rendering is not to scale

Yea, I sold the 300 to my buddy who was with me and his 13yo son. Don't know who the bike is for, prolly the dad but he got it for "the son".Yeah, I thought I was taking it easy to. I’m sure you’ll figure out something that works for you.
Wow, don't mess around with that Ken - whatever you do, don't rush it! Make sure you're 100%!Well, that didn't last long....
