From what I've learned UNCHANGED since 1911... :thumb:

Is it just me or is $1,850 a tad high? :noidea:

No, you can get a very servicable 1911A1 like Springfield Armory for about $650.00. If you want to go high end, get a Kimber at about $950.00-$1150. They do rock! Kimbers that is.....worth the money if you want to hit targets consistently at 20 yards. Just saying...whatever you get, don't cheap out and get adjustable sights....that'l cost you more $.

article title says Oklahoma is so hot that street lamps melt. they reported that it was street lamps melting due to the heat... then some people outed them on facebook stating that there was a dumpster fire near the lamps so they added a clause at the bottom that goes against the entire article.

this is the same type of shit that fox msnbc and all the major news do.

Here let me say in one sentence what they're really trying to say.

"And if dangerous, spontaneous fires aren't reason enough to go green, we don't know what is."

BTW didn't realize Yahoo "News" was actually news.

I don't usually post things like this, but have a family friend needing some prayers. What his mom just sent me.

"Shane is out of surgery, it took about 6 hours. I was only going to post that he did well and was hanging in there. BUt, after giving it some thought, you all have been with me from the beginning, you have given been great comfort being able late at night to write some of these posts. I have spent the last thirty minutes crying and sick, both Amber and I. i will tell you all what was told to us by
his surgeon. He said that in all his 15 years as a surgeon he had never seen burns this bad or anyone live this long from their severity, that Shane has to have such a strong will to have made it this far. That the surgery involved only one leg and the other, if things go well to be done Sunday. That all the skin down past the fat, from his ankle to his thigh had to be removed and a part of his muscle in his thigh . He said he doesn't usually say a prayer with the family but asked if he could, said a prayer and cried with us. He said everything is hour by hour.I wasn't sure if it was appropriate to post something so devastating but was given permission by Amber and I know God has a Plan because this has been almost more than our human frailty is able to bear. THank you and please keep praying that Gods will be done, that Shanes suffering and for his family!"

He was in tank explosion week or so ago. My thoughts and prayers on his tonight.
