While driving my (non stock) 1980 Toyota 4x4 (I was about 18) I was pulled over doing 60 in a 40... caught by radar... the cop came up to my window, asked for the usual then asked me if those were stock tires, I said no sir... he pulled out some change from his pocket and proceeded to show me the difference of the rotation of a dime (stock tire) vs a quarter (my tire) and how much farther the larger coin rolled comparing it to my tires and how it affects the speedo. WOW officer I had no idea, (playing dumb, playing dumb, I had him eating out the palm of my hand... I had this one....) then he handed me his pad and pen and said, sign here young man and PLEASE drive safe!!!

I can say I learned a lot in traffic school... :smirk:

In the event of a high speed chase. The officer's in NY are not allowed to pursue over 90mph. Weather it was true or not, I didn't care as long as I didn't go to jail. My attorney was able to get the tickets dropped is all I know. I paid over 2,300 bucks so I did not go to jail.
