you know... jsut catching fishing poles...
for real i hooked some line and reeled it in by hand... that was on the end so i took the weeds off rinsed it off in the water and used it right there... still real smooth.. better then the rods i had with me
I was fishing reds on the bank of the Kenai river about 10 or 12 years ago, I noticed a guy with a fish on at the end of the gravel bar, I look again and no fish, no rod, he says, I lost my gear, and told me That he saved all year to buy that 800$ fly rod. I said boy that sucks to be you and went back fishing. About 20 minutes later I thought I got fetched up on my buddies line. I start to bring in my line and I see a pole tip, then the whole rod, I got ahold of it and realized the fish was still on the line, the fish got off but not before i had this guys pole back. I walked over to the guy with his pole who was still grieving his loss, and said, I didn't get the fish, but I got your pole, some how this 8 pound fish, drug a 9 foot fly pole against the current all the way back up to where I was.....I've got a lot of very memorable fishing stories, but that is probably top 3 for sure.
