I'm kinda wondering if his brother Michael might want to retire from road racing after this, his uncle was TT legend Joey Dunlop ( killed while racing ) his dad died racing bikes in 2008 too and now William, family must be devastated

A friend of mine lost his son at 16 racing mx. He says he wouldn’t have taken away bikes from his son if he could. Living the life you have is what’s it’s about. How short or long doesn’t really matter it’s all a blink of an eye in the end anyhow. Lots of kids die of heroin overdoses. Now THAT is a shame and a waste. Although the death of a loved one is mourned, their life should be celebrated, not regretted.

I agree but think of the mum, and all the young kids+ cousins that have lost their dad, uncle, in my mind 3 already is enough to make me give it up, I think at our ages we have all likely lost a loved one to bikes but the stress the whole Dunlop family will be under every time Michael goes out will be immense, he doesn't hang about

I can’t imagine how I would feel losing one of my kids. Say you love them and out the door they go.
