My bike is running great also... I got the jetting right on the money for the cooler temps now....Onlything i really want to mess with is the clip... Eric Gorr recommended a different needle but that thing is 30 bucks...
Right now im on the second clip...
It was on the third and when i moved it to the second one it helped tons... Im going to try the first clip ..
Got a rear MSR rotor gaurd still to put on
Front wheel bearings (Had to order another set and just got them today, I cannot find the last set i ordered)
Got a new kick starter waiting to go on
Flywheel weight waiting to go on
reed spacer waiting to go on
Still need to get fork gaurds and side panels but put them off for now
Waiting on fork seals and fluid to get here.
I wouldnt mess with the needle if it runs good where its at. You'll reallly be leaning it out alot if you go to the #1 position. As for the different tapered needle. I really wouldnt waste your money even if you can find one. I did the same thing that Eric Gorr suggested for my bike in reguards to the needle. I still run the needle setting in the same position as the factory one with little to no noticeable change. Truthfully unless your gonna be racing it, your just wasting your money. Now If he did recommend a different spark plug to run (he did for my bike), thats a worthy change. I noticed a huge improvement on how the engine performs with just good enough jetting. It makes the engine perform like its perfect. But maybe its just me. The other plus side is Im not paying $12.00 each for the OEM recommended plug. Its closer to $4.00 and works better IMHO.
