Helicoil? good way to go or weld and retap...

I don't know what hes going to do yet. He said he was going to try to clean the threads up, If that don't work he might try to retap it to a different size. Or a helicoil. But he does that type of work at some big plant.

Cases are split so now is the time to fix it

Using a case splitter is so much easier but my dad never used one. He used rubber mallets or dead blow hammers.
If your cases just slipped apart then there might be an issue

I used rubber mallet..It didn't just slip apart. I had to walk it off slowly.

I'm gonna say it took about 40 mins for it to come apart?

It took 40 mines to get the ballz to pull the transgears out


It only took a few mins to knock the cases apart.
