She's naked...

It's a 1990. This particular aircraft had a major accident while with Qantas. An oxygen bottle exploded in the forward cargo pit. Blew the whole side of the aircraft off. It has been completely repaired to new.
Yes, I am Tow/Taxi qualified. In fact I taxiied this particular plane to the blast fence when we went out to perform high power engine runs. So I was driving it completely by myself under the power of the engines. :ride:

This aircraft has since been reassembled and left for Nigeria under the tail number 5N-HMB. I have completed another project (747-200) since MAX AIR left. I am now working on a 747-400 for KABO airlines. It will be complete in februrary.

Glad you guys like it. I'm considering calling in sick today...

Awesome photos! Very nice! Do they let you wear that wig while you give the beans to the engines on a test? :thumb:

Interesting that it was sold to Nigeria. That is a strange country. Oil money. Goofy people that have lot's of cash. Half a year ago, I sold some stuff in that country. I understand I may have to go there now. Perhaps I can hitch a ride on this plane?

Thanks. No, I don't get to wear the wig at work. But I will be wearing a goPro soon.:thumb:

These particular companies that contract maintenance through us... They are nigeria based "hodge" flight companies. Strange folk, the nigerians...

Every male in the muslim faith must travel to mecca once in their life. Thusly there is a high demand for flights directly to mecca from the surrounding muslim regions.

MAX AIR had us remove 50% of the lavatories and galleys, and in place jammed seats with the least legroom they could possibly manage and still be "safe." We managed 604 passenger seats.

At $2600+ per seat round trip, they make the 11 million dollars (they paid us in maintenance) back in a few days. A booming business.

Bikinis please

In the last 6 years I have worked at NAMS and PART. Here are some pics from NAMS.
The Ryan Air bird is a boeing 767 and these photos could get me in trouble if I still worked there.:naughty:
The Aloha is an OLD boeing 737-200 and we did the full heavy check on it. Tons of corrosion removed and performed 10 year CPCP (corrosion prevention control program) on the landing gear.
First off is a 727-200 outside the hangars in san bernardino, CA.

you have a epic job. seems like hard work and you dont get much free time when you are into the projects but its neat stuff you get to work with Dan.

I feel for you Big Dan. Seeing the wall of job cards is mind boggeling to me. I have a hard enough time keeping two guys on track, on cheese ball equipment. You Da Man. :thumb:

It's pretty cool work. Everyday I'm thankful for the abilities God gave me. I also feel like it's what I'm meant to do when I work through some big struggles. :thumb:

Yes, That's one of the 4 walls in each dock.:smirk:
This check includes 1561 routine taskcards, and I'll generate 1500-2000 more non-routine taskcards before all is said and done. Each hour of every mechanic's time is recorded and billed to the appropriate card. "Who's job is that?" you might ask... mine.
I have 31 mechanics I am personally responsible for their billability, saftey and organization of maintenance. I am stressed frequently.

I have seen my good friends/co-workers wheelie a 727 at full power when the brakes let go unannounced. 727s have a tailskid which prevents damage when the a/c goes tail down. Luckily there was no damage, but it was a major FAA incident, osha, the likes...

I wonder how much the price tag is to remodel one of these babies.

Schwing!

Looking at all the pictures it seems as though this thing is getting pretty much a make over on everything. No idea how much $ is involved with this type of machine. I see the dollar mark for the maintenance they paid but looks like there is more here.
What do you mean by remodel? Custom interiors? Or the cost of the maintenance I do?
