Do you think Reed blew a fuse?
The engine melted down.
Do you think Reed blew a fuse?
The very reason we use a fuse is to protect the rest of the circuit & wiring harness (starting at bat+) from a device that could develop a short to ground, which results in a high-heat, over-amperage situation that can melt wires.usually when you keep blowing fuses to something like a fuel pump it means that component is bad
Fuse you say?

Crappy video, but what is Palmer doing at the end here?......
I understand that (I can guarantee you will not find someone who can do a re-wire on a uhaul trailer faster or figure out where the last guy went wrong faster) but I'm not entirely sure what goes wrong with a fuel pump to cause it to send + to - perhaps they operate different than the idea I have in my headThe very reason we use a fuse is to protect the rest of the circuit & wiring harness (starting at bat+) from a device that could develop a short to ground, which results in a high-heat, over-amperage situation that can melt wires.
A blown fuse means something is allowing a shit-ton of amperage to get back to ground.
In another shop class we call it welding...

That is exactly what happened...Palmer’s was a cracked fuse because of a hard hit from a super radical air out that can only be compared to something amazing.
Palmer’s was a cracked fuse, probably because it’s faulty from the supplier or a hard hit from a super radical air out that can only be compared to something amazing. Only other time I’ve seen a fuel pump fuse blow is because they connected the jumper cables while the key was on. Honda was famous for that or the igniter burnout in the 90’s.

What they said! Had a pack of fuses with me, should have replaced instead of pull, inspect, install same. If I knew the flash code on the dash (I do now haha) we would have been off and running instead of pulling tank, fuel pump, inspecting, inspecting fuses, re-installing, being towed back 16 miles to camp, etc. etc. etc.
Back to the WR-
2 things-
1 - I put the thing back together but now the clutch is mushy. Is this because the discs are dry from sitting on my bench for 3 months, or did I screw it up? Clutch on the 89 yz125 project feels similar, but I haven't been in there yet...
2 - What is the thing below? I pulled it out with the old oil filter, and I dont see it on the parts fiche. New filter when in fine with a rubber piece on each side.

yes he did...Did you dial up the wrong thread?
yes he did...
Racing was good over the weekend. Not a fan of this mini series, glad that is over and we can finish out the normal season.
