Why not put a KX engine in a Honda frame with KTM suspension?
Cause it's still not as good as a stock Yamaha. Custom cars are a tad different
Custom cars are only as good as the dork that thinks they are bad ass. I'll take a vehicle that was built with class than any frankinpileofshelbyshit.
Got a buddy here I grew up with in OC that builds custom 60's-70's muscle cars but sticks to a modified stock platform on most, and they run around the price of the city of Gallup NM. AKA, Newport Beach house on the bluffs.
Try looking up parts for these things. When one of these custom jobs come in the door, flat rate goes out the door. I charge T&M and usually get an approval for at least a grand to start.
Hmm, thought for today is definitely move, hit or be hit! Unfortunately today I took the latter, 
When approximately 15 foot from a half arse idiot with a hard hat on I exclaimed after several heated words, "you're a half arse idiot"
I've worked with him before and it didn't end all that smiley!
Said half arse idiot took a run and butted me like a horny goat
, thankfully being a half arse idiot he didnt realise that hard hats are surprisingly soft on impact by design, 
We both went down on a pile of his broken bricks, his knee landing on my shin, immediately pulled his sweater and tee shirt from his back over his head, kneed him several times in the balls while he's trying to land blows and it promptly got broken up by my mate' (his nephew)
When I say promptly I mean after the gaffer stood inside the kitchen taking pics in a you've been framed moment, (evidence to get said idiot banned from site,) i have yet to see these but im already pissin myself about what they show, funniest thing of all is he was trying to hit me like a blind girl and I near burst out laughing during it
I vaguely remember him shouting, " ROBERT... WHAT ARE YOU DOING?
Just hit me 20 minutes ago he must have spotted the gaffer taking a pic
As I said, thought for this day is Move, hit or be hit,
Btw I still have my job, he does not!
His nephew instantly called him a fkn gimp
No cops, no charges just a you better grow eyes in the back of your head mofo!!!
Oh p.s. I also learned today that my landlord,(rented house is selling all his properties and I have 2 months notice to move house

Yup, although after learning of these pics on the 30 mile run home I asked said nephew to use my phone and phone the gaffer to send me them, I heard the gaffer say to him" What so he can show Jo, (my Sista, "the boss")
He said he would send them and hung up, immediately then calling my sis and sending her them instead and not to me, I was summoned to her house for details, not shown pics and told don't take the bait from a half arse idiot! So wether he still has them or has been told to delete them who knows
The job we are on right now is for her lawyer so it may all be shut right down or we may end up removed from the job worst case scenario

More than likely with you being Scots and inclined to get a lump rather than back down I would imagine that this being common practice everywhere there and the job is still a go. One thing I have always admired about Scots, the Irish and even the English is there ability to stand their ground and when its over to shake hands and move on.
