Ok, so due to most of the regular peeps that have done this ride are unavailable due to many different reasons, the big ride and party on Saturday is cancelled.

I can't believe this fell through like this. I know that the twins would like to come up but I will let them chime in for themselves. They were a little concerned about their buddy and being a new rider for the (side mountain trails) that have the potential for a rescue. I can vouch for John and Martin being pretty good riders in the desert. But it is really up to you on what you would like to show them. Really sorry I am missing out on this. Since I can’t go I am having George at Up-tite build me a pipe for the Beta, he needs the bike because It will be his first.
Sorry to hear Geek. There is a lot of this kinda thing going around these days. Getting a few guys together can be like pulling teeth without anesthetic !

I know I have been silent. My bike may be in/still in shop this weekend. waiting on parts to arrive the shop. hope soon. had three different ride invites AND a family outing for this weekend, one of which is yours. kennedy meadows, cal city, los padres, fright night..

Ron I just figured you were gonna go to Kennedy Meadows. The forest will be open for at least another month anyway.
We did a LPNF run last weekend. started off routine, going up east frazier. saw a buttload of hunters all over the mountain. our routine ride went not so routine when I got the brilliant idea and said "let's go down Arrasta instead of Whata for a change". well, long story short.. we had a couple hour delay on Arrasta as one in our group decided to take the scenic route down the side, way off trail, after bouncing off a tree limb. Both him and his bike was OK. instead of dragging the bike up the steep cliffside, he decided to ride it out to where the trail meets the gully. which happened to be a mile down the rough terrain. a couple hour delay. ;-)
LOL. I killed my honda a month back. need to tear into the carb. the clip on the pin broke and did something the the innerds. been too busy to tackle that. the KTM is rideable, but will be in the shop as soon as the parts arrive. due in already, so any day now.. if you volunteer to tow strap my honda and drag me around all weekend, i will come.With two bikes in your sig line I call BS!

That's not going to happen. I have been bitching about this date ever since it was conceived. I am On-call for two weeks starting on Thursday. Almost had it covered by my sweet daughter had to have her LEO dog training crap going on. Next time for sure.
So this ride is a no go now???

Read the post you English Professor! The ride is ON with no Cliff trails, the party and dinner is not. But that does not mean the Mr. Geek would not show you his hospitality in a big way. He is one of the kindest, sweetest, lovable guy, you will ever meet.So this ride is a no go now???
