Single day ride, sleep over if needed. You need to be someplace in the morning of the 21st? Joe stuffed his shoulder to the AC on a skateboard, might not be able to make this ride. I told him if he can hold a gallon of milk strait out from his shoulder in thee positions for 5 seconds he might be able to join and take it easy. So my plan is to go if he can make it. My daughter Corinne will cover my on-call for the day and the County won't be the wiser as to what Palmer did the job (if there is one). :smirk:

Nope, I got nowhere to be except :ride: Just wondering if it was an overnighter so I could arrange my lodging. I have never done Gorman before and was thinking if it was an overnighter a sunday Gorman run would be fun.

My bro has to work that weekend but he is trying to get off one day so he could ride Saturday. My bro-in-law won't be able to make it since he has his brothers wedding and said he can't flake out since he is the best man.

Joe has two weeks left to heal, he'll be fine. Tell him to put some Biofreeze (or pharmacy equivalent like maxfreeze etc.) daily and he will be good to go (That stuff works magic). Plus you can always get him one of these if needed.

Yeah what he said. John we can find space for you to sleep over, albeit, it may be the floor. My plan is to have everybody meet at my house, drop off whatever shit they need to, then head out to ride. Dinner and drinks afterwards at the house.

I heard they delayed it. Not sure if that is true or not. Oct 14th is what I heard the original date was, according to the ranger at the North gate of Gorman.

I remembering riding up in Frazier Park on Opening Day! Boy was that a mistake. We rode up on all kinds of angry hunters. None of them waved or looked happy. I cant say that I blame them. I imagine the motos scare the deer away.

I soooo wish I was going to be around for this ride. I do hope some of you will take some video. And not just riding video, get some down time too. Of course crash pics and vids are always interesting :wink:

If you miss dinner and drinks at Geeks, your MISSING OUT on the best part of the day!! And well worth sleeping on the floor or in a backseat for.

The last October ride we saw a deer being dragged out by some hunters. They said it ran right on to the trail, and they capped his ass. Somehow, a hunter shooting down the same trail I'm riding on, doesn't give me a warm, and fuzzy feeling.:noidea:

Looks like the Mt Pinos ranger district is zone D13. Opening day for rifle deer season in zone D13 is next Saturday Oct 13. There will be hunters out on the 20th, but nothing like the first weekend.
