This thread needs some new material. I just changed the filter and oil in the YZ250F, added the new aluminum skid plate that came for a Christmas present to the boy and cleaned the air filter. My bike got an air filter cleaning along with some fresh oil as well. Both machines are ready for some riding over the New Years weekend.

50 mile loop on the TE450 with new motor. Ran flawless.. :Sumbitchtheweatherwascold:
Noted the following:
Forgot to tighten 2 front axle pinch bolts.
Rear foot brake leaver was tight, needed a little filing on the bolt.
Minor leak at drain plug (hope I didn't timo it.)
Rear tire is misaligned, shows witness on outside of sprocket.
Next 450 miles plus will be grueling break in procedure with 5 or so oil changes and filters to note any pre-mature engine wear.

replaced the ugly but broken anyway rear assembly. new one is a lot nicer all tucked under.

I was wondering when you were going to replace that rear section with the new style. Looks much better and less junk wiggling around. How did you break that foot peg though?

i have a feeling its because of how i load my bike.... i have the shorter bed so i angle the bike and use a 3rd tie down that goes from the peg to the rear hook. i think it prolly rusted out a part in the middle which at first was the only part that was broke. then a few rides later the outside broke. then on my last ride the entire end was gone. im guessing i hit some rocks or some shit

i had to spend a little more for them then the stock ones but i needed new ones before the weekend so i grabbed em. i really would have liked the big nice pro taper ones but they are like 200 squishes ... WTF
