What did you do to your bike today?

Did a bit of research, both yz450f and fx have 5 speeds, with the fx having hte wide ratio, they're almost identical motor wise except the fx is a bit more tame, and of course has e start, but weighs almost 25lbs more, something most people say is extremely noticeable, sounds like for a yee yee bike just the vanilla yz is a winner.

I would look at the price. The wide ratio is bigger draw to me than the e button if I still had a good right knee. The injetion seems to work on getting them to start. There are a few things on the fx that make it kind of desireable besides that. Price would drive me too, but the start comes off. 500 dollars more for the fx the choice is hard. past that and I would have the 450f if I was ever going to race it.

I know..... I just thought I would have seen the heavy weight premixer under your saddle before another Thumper...
I got a lot more trade in towards the yz, and I bought it from the shop a mile from my house that has fond memories of a ginger kid on a blue bike. Real deal breaker on the 300 is the 4cs suspension. As mentioned before my buddy has a 4cs thumper that he's spent $2500 on to make rideable and after riding a bone stock yz wanted to trade the KTM in.

Yamma fan here too. First loves die hard.
My blue bike was GOLD though

The tuning "fork" company seems to be the "fork" company now. (at least they are spec'ing the best forks)
