That injury actually helped create his unique sound. Using plastic prosthetic finger tips, modified banjo strings which created a lighter gauge string than was readily available otherwise and tuning down his guitar. Ended up giving him the dark sinister sound on his unique riffs.

Tony Iommi is a founding member and guitar/ songwriter for Black Sabbath, I see you are 19, I'll give you a pass on this one as long as you go back and check out some of the early Sabbath. They were more influential in metal (basically they invented the genre) than the Beatles were in pop.
