I blue loctite all of my bolts except for the radiator shrouds. It helps prevent the bolt from rusting to the nut. Same goes for blue rubbers.

Good eye Miles actually I did lose a rear fender bolt. Makes more sense than a rock I never saw a single rock in that dirt. Fkn brilliant track. Either way I guess I have to stretch that budget enough to fit in a new chain.. eh, and a couple of sprockets while I'm at it..

Auto co-rectum always does that to mikes name. It's actually not far enough away. :smirk:

Test went good I banged it into a shit ton of rocks. Seemed to work better the faster I went which is good, because I can go faster. had kind of an off day cause a bug got in my goggles at some point and bit me a couple of times and my fkn eye swelled shut!
Anyhow, decided to change the rear wheel bearings and wtf I’ve never changed Honda’s before so I discovered the stupid bearing retainer thing. What a joke! I bought the tool, it came halfway out and seized. Wound up braking one tab then another, then I just had to break it out. I got my magnifying goggles and tried to salvage the hub but it’s garbage. I ran the new retainer in as far as I could to get me through this weekend and got new hub on order. Got a group ride planned already to some double black diamond trail or I’d just take another bike. What the hell is Honda thinking with this design? Anybody know what I’m talking about? Bearings seem to stay in just fine on my other bikes without this cheap brittle aluminum piece of fine threaded shit! ..hmm rant thread again..

Without it the bearing walks. I buy Honda cars and Honda Generators...... never a Honda motorcycle. :naughty:
