spent the night before last building some shock takeup spring guards with a friend of mine for his "late model". I am just not a car guy so much anymore. he gave me his old nitrogen fill equipment so i felt i owed him.

I have always had good luck with my fords, so thats what I keep buying.

Back when I started playing with engines I was in hs. everyone was hotrodding chevs. i wanted to be different, did Fords and Mopars until I couldnt afford to build them. There were cheap parts for chevs and I built a couple of them. I seemed to always find myself pulling them home with my f100. so when i started racing motorcycles the ford took me about 125k on the first set of heads, and it ran 4 years later when i moved here and sold it. never needed a ride home on a hook, but sure brought lots of others like I said home that way. In the meantime I developed an appreciation of some of Chryslers engines but didn't care for the package. Currently I pay insurance on nearly 1 dozen vehicles and I have a mix of them. The two 95 ford pickups are likely here for as long as I drive, the 150 has about 105 on it now, the f250 about 325. (going to get lots more since I figured out what was wrong with it.) Oddly, owned several honda automobiles and the ones of those I got were totally reliable but it is like they have no character and I was never sorry to see them leave.

I owned one honda accord, it never failed to get me where I need to go, but it was so horribly dull to drive that I sold it even though there was literally nothing wrong with it.
I was involved in racing a circle track nova a few years back, the whole reason the owner opted for a chevy was because as a race car engines were disposable, and 350 chevies were a lot cheaper than 302/351's and especially anything mopar.
