I know where the ATF leak is coming from but I can't get the back window to stop leaking. And no it has AC it just needs an evaporator.

My escort made some expensive noises and quit last night, pulled the #4 plug and it is smashed, pulled valve cover and noted an installed height of about a 1/4" more on #4 exhaust valve than the other 3. Guess I'll be pulling the head and inspect the cylinder walls, piston and head to see if that valve seat fucked anything up to bad. Unless the cylinder is gouged I'm sure I can band aid it back together.

So Eff Juan had rust holes right above the rear window, right behind the trim. I fiberglassed those bad boys up and they aren't leaking. But some how even after the insane amount of urethane my dad and I used to reset the window that MFer was leaking. I just put a ton of silicone up in there from the inside last night. If it leaks now, I'm going to drive it off the Dames Point.

Pulled the head off the escort tonight, dropped seat, head and piston damage require replacement, not sure if I'm going to repair this engine, replace the engine,or turn the car into a pop can.

Was just curious, I guess the escort wouldn't have come with the same 3.0 as the ranger/windstar/taurus, its just that that particular 3.0 is famous for the failure you just posted.
They drop exhaust valve seats, the 2.0 lost an intake seat.
