Y Z 250, is the best all around bike!

and need i say that was back when they ran ALL brands of bikes... besides the big 4 so who know's who was running what in their bike but I do remember the smell of Klotz lingering in the air...

Two strokes where it back then, I was running around on my RM125 and my buddies YZ80. We would switch off and do some good old bar busting. Fun days back then, OC is so anti bike it's sickening.

Two strokes still sucked back then as well:moon: I remember when Jeff Ward and Brian Myerscough would race at Saddleback and Indian Dunes....thump, thump, thumo....braaap, braaaap, braaaap.:thumb:

Sweet smell of Klotz??? How far back are you going? 20 years went fast for me (the last 20 anyway) and it wasnt until the late 90's that I recall Klotz putting any castor in any of their products. CastrolR of course even smelled good in a VW.

Today the YZ got a new Stator, bar switch, wiring harness and headlight. The dual sport kit is plug and play. I am going to do the all black plastics and tail light some time this week.
The only thing I didn't like about the new stator is no timing mark, so it's guess work.
Pics will follow soon.

Black? Everything is black now. Or flat black.

Out with the degree wheel.

No it has the traditional blue white. Timing has a little mark on the old stator that the new lighting one does not. I am going to assume it to be exactly like the stock one with the mark in the center of the ridge. Just need to go TDC and 0.18 BTDC assuming the mark would be in the same place. Dont have the gauge tool so i'll use my primitive skills. I will not know until I run her and she has no top end gurgling. Wont be doing that for a week or so.
