Well I’m no rocket surgeon so I just go by the manual and mine says
“Premium unleaded gasoline only with a Research Otcatne Rating of 95 or higher”
Which means at (r+m/2) his 91 is probably not cutting it.
Also it says
“If knocking or pinging occurs use a higher octane grade”
Didn’t say anything about redesigning their motor.
I used a 50/50 race fuel and swapped 3 pretty pistons for new before sending the head out for a redo in more than one 250t and never “decked” a single head or blew a hole in a piston from det. Though I’m not saying it doesn’t happen. If it ain’t rattling run it. And run it hard.

Sides, I wasn't talking to your sweet
, look at my first post as I reiterated what I said. I know guys that run Avgas, but it's for "other" reasons, and after the swish band was fixed. I was talking to Opie, and we shall see 10 pages before the swish gets measured, and it happens. I'm not talking about the squish it will cost to correct. So lick my fuzzy nuts timoyz, I hear they taste great, and are less filling.
Still probably less offensive than Steves mighty Jan Hammer pan jammer
