I've got a question about the carburetor. How does the fuel feed into the Carb? Is it just a matter of gravity? I don't see any vacuum tubes that would pull the fuel into the jets. Or does it work as a venturi effect? I just want to understand the ins and outs of my bike. Share your wisdom with me :D
gravity

Gravity fed to the carb... But the Vacumme of the piston is what pulls the gas from the carb to the cylinder
OK that's what I was looking for. Thank you. Now how do I check if the vacuum is working properly? I have good compression. I can feel it when I try to kick it over. I figured after a few kicks, the Carb would suck some fuel into the Carb

is it running? kick it over a few times and pull the plug and see if its wet
plug isn't remotely wet. It would be good to have those factory needle settings but I can always just loosen the screw until I see the plug has its til wet  or do I need to tighten it? I know theres two adjustment screws. One opens the throttle. Throw a dog a bone here.

you should have a fuel screw and an air screw. the fuel screw should be closer to the slide (and be nearer the top of the carb), and the air should be closer to the back of the carb. try starting with 1 1/4 turns from closed on the air, and on the fuel screw, I don't even know where to start. its usually out farther, start with 3 full turns (?) I'm site somebody will know more on that one... is your carb clean? you took it apart and cleaned all the jets? it might just be clogged..

I did take it apart and clean it up. All jets are clean. I made sure of it. But what you said were awesome starting points. I'll definitely hit that tomorrow. Thanks a bunch.

Pull your fuel line off the carb.... And make sure fuel flows GOOOODD with no issues..

Depending on what carb that is there should be a bowl on the bottom and a drain screw.. Make sure the bowl is filling up..

Remember if a 2 stroke isnt getting gas.. It isnt getting oirl :prof:

The bowl is full. When I removed it to clean it up the bowl was full. I think its a matter of having the proper air and fuel ratio. I'm not getting the fuel delivery I need. One of the first things I did was removing the line from the tank to be sure I was getting flow. Its flowing good.

Well...here's what it looks like as of today. I was gonna get the front and rear fenders on it but a nasty storm came through and I had to stop.

Oh and I need to re-wrap the seat. Re-spray the springs.
