Every place I have seen requires an M1 endorsement by the renter.

My buddy does not have an M1. I've called Chaparral Motorsports and another place but both don't rent dual sports.

I've done 3 other DS events. None of them have ever "inspected" anything. In fact on the 3rd one my rear wheel bearings fell out in the parking lot of the staging area 7 miles from my house. I went home and changed bikes to my sons non plated wr250 and completed the 120 loop on it.

If you have a plate, tech inspection should not be required. If you pulled off a horn or blinker thats between you and the LEO. These guys are not the cops... it's none of their business. Typical CA thinking again.

I thought about going but I'll be damned if I am gonna spend $300 on a weekend to be told I need to put my horn back on the bike. I guess I will be building that teeter totter at my place after all. :rocker:
