Got my boy out on a bike, with his sister who is an old veteran at this but my son James, basically other than putting around was out for the first time on a ride. He went from figuring how to operate the clutch and where neutral was to navigating thru mud and rocks in a couple hours, it was going good until he fell and twisted his knee. Decided that was good enough for the first day, so we rode back but he was totally thrashed after a ride that I would rate as from 1-10 on the difficulty scale a 1, but he does want to go again, maybe I'll get my boy interested in dirtbikes after 26 years, better late than never.

I got a new, safer (dual eps liner) helmet, was on sale for less than $100 :)

Steve, my kids are the opposite. I've tried to get my little girl on a bike, but she's a girly-girl with no interest in riding. She liked shopping for the clothes, but that's as far as that went ha.
She does however, like riding with me and I think that's just fine.

She also has learned to exploit this fact to her advantage. She knows how to get a lift from me anywhere, anytime by beginning her request with "dad will you give me a ride on the motorcycle?.. over to Ashlyn's house?"

Getting the kids out is awsome, I've had some great rides with the girls, both have improved so much, I just got back today with my oldest girl Becki, probably the most physical ridE I've been on in 10 years, amd that's saying something. She made it thru the whole way, fell a bunch and got back up with a big grin on her face. Now it's off to grab some ibuprofen.

My ride on Saturday was challenging, many of my pics didn't turn out well, but here is a one of a swamp on top of a Mount Baldy, you have the choice of going thru the wet portion that isn't too bad untill you hit a hole that is hard to detect untill your front wheel disappears, or choose to go around the wet areas thru the 3 foot tall world class niggerheads,the wind was blowing about 30 mph and temp was at about 35 degrees. Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of the monster hill climbs we had to ride on the way here, the worst one was wet clay on the bottom while you wind your way up a steep vertical into the boulder covered section with loose dirt underneath. The whole ride from the beginning to end took us from sea level to about 4200'.

Wow 35° man on Saturday I was sweating and cussing the sun that it has been blazing hot since May and to go the fuck away and you mean "world class African American heads right?
