no this is out in Spangler just south of Ridgecrest. I posted a pic of the fire lookout tower at Shuteye Peak in a different thread.

This is all I have of us riding...no one carries a digi cam...until now woo hoo!!!! This is our group of misfits on top of one of the small dunes in JV...something we always do at least once every trip out...head out to the dunes, let the kids play...from little ones to cousins that race (1 professionally...SX). I'll have to take some pic's of him jumping. pretty awesome...there are more riders than what's shown here...either to the right of the 4x4's or out riding the dunes..!

Dont feel bad Geek....I would of tossed my bike down that drop and slid on my ass too! I dont do well on big veritcal drops. That looks like it would be iffy for me to make it safely. So you try it then what? The ride is fuk'd up for everyone because you wanted to give it a go and now your busted all up needing help? No thanks....I'd play it safe too! Did everyone ride it down without incident?

What I think is funny, is that's what Rack wants to lead a ride to, to climb!


If you look closely, you can see WG on the hill.

That is the hardpack shelfy down hill I was talking about.

Are you talking about the steps at the end of the sand where the canyon gets real narrow? I love those rocks, they look tough, but if you hit the right line, you just cruise right over them.

The section you are talking about I think is farther down the line and that sandy section with the step ups is a ton of fun.

BTW that video and pics DO NOT do this place justice. You will all see this winter.
Also BTW Tim, still luv ya dude. Just don't do the fudge packing thing ya know?

Thanks Sun. Everybody made it OK. I was just chicken. The ride from Spangler to get there is awesome though.

that's being a good Dad Rack I wish mine was into dirt biking. I say any kid with parents into this sport is darn lucky!
