She ain't no beauty queen

Well, it seems that James was correct, problem after problem. I planned on replacing my master cylinder here soon and possibly my slave cylinder, but, it seems those got moved up to immediate replacing because yesterday i couldn't push the clutch pedal far enough to shift. From what I understand that means the slave cylinder isnt functioning properly, so I just ordered a master and slave cylinder and the hydraulic line that joins the 2. I'll keep the thread updated on how much more money I pour into this truck :pout:

Not going to say I told you so as I know how much this sucks. :( Think of it as car payments.

There is more to it than just the $$$. Don't forget time and even lost use because it's down.

Again, wanna bet? :smirk:

I'd suggest putting aside a small amount every pay period for a car fund, even if it's only $25 per week.
Sorry, but it had better be more than $25. At least for the start.

Based on the descriptions you might be pulling that trans some time soon if the clutch master/slave replacement doesn't fix it.

Oh I agree, but with him being a student he probably can't be making that much money right now. I was merely saying to start putting money aside, not matter how small of an amount.

I'll save whatever i can, no bets, but I'd really like to keep the problems to a minimum

You can't ask it to play nice. I wish the best for you but people even have a chit ton of problems when they buy newer used vehicles :(
My brother drove his family down in his wives mini van that they only owned for a couple weeks and ended up replacing all of the tires, battery, alternator, fuses, windshield wiper motor. That's just a few things he had to replace to get it back to Ohio :picard:

ellohell... Don't keep a running tab. Will only make you feel worse. You could have spent 5000 on a truck and be putting 2 times the money in. These trucks are the cheapest to keep running and last forever.Parts are abundant and lowest prices. When you fix this issue there will be something else pop up.
